Sam Passer

Where do I begin? My name is Samuel Mayer Passer. I am a filmmaker, writer, artist, voice over actor, and cinema explorer.

As a film enthusiast, I’ve seen over 5300 films in my lifetime, which has provided me the time to observe and analyze the beauty and history of filmmaking. There has never been a time in my life where I wasn’t fascinated with something captured on camera. This has pulled me into a circle of many individuals who share my passion of movies and high quality television. I am committed to contributing to this ever growing field. This includes screenwriting, directing, designing, editing, teaching and saving the old gems of the silver screen. As an adjunct to filmmaking, I have lent my voice to many projects over the course of time, which is thankfully due to my ability to mimic different fictional characters and real life individuals, both already existing and original. Expanding my versatility in the world of cinema, includes cartoons, narration, impersonations, and voice over projects.

Through my journey of challenges and triumphs, I have come to the realization that I am not the typical individual one would think. I am a person living on the spectrum, which can serve as a great benefit in the field of film and television. Autism has given me the gift of a video-graphic memory, which allows me to replay images in crystal clear picture and sound. This includes the “cinema” that takes place on a screen, in real life, and in my imagination. My colleagues and collaborators have seen how this talent serves as an immense contribution to their projects and mine. 

Currently, my works include short films, the stage premiere of my play “IN,” production designs for various projects, narrating an award winning documentary, and developing curriculum for cinema studies classes. I look forward to my works blossoming and to be recognized among the arts and entertainment community.
