“For me, filmmaking combines everything. That’s the reason I’ve made cinema my life’s work. In films... painting, literature, theatre and music come together. But a film is still a film.”

Where do I begin? My name is Samuel Mayer Passer. I am a filmmaker, writer, artist, voice over actor, and cinema explorer.
“As a film enthusiast, I have seen over 5000 films in my lifetime, which has provided me the time to observe and analyze the beauty and history of filmmaking.”
As a film enthusiast, I’ve seen over 4,000 films in my lifetime, which has provided me the time to observe and analyze the beauty and history of filmmaking. There has never been a time in my life where I wasn’t fascinated with something captured on camera. This has pulled me into a circle of many individuals who share my passion of movies and high quality television.

FILMMAKING
Films move my soul, heart and mind. The collaborative process, which includes working with other artists such as cinematographers, production designers, and composers, is one of the most creative, joyous, and awarding experiences. From escapism, to inspiration, filmmaking has a way of lifting the spirit and even changing the world.
voice over + impersonations
When I stand behind the mic and lend my voice to a character, narration, or impersonation, I feel delighted in helping projects emerge. I am told I have the uncanny ability (some say it might be a gift) to hear and re-produce the pitch, tenor, quality and style of numerous characters, real, animated, known and unknown.
CINEMA EXPLORATION
As part of my passion for everything cinematic, I’ve developed a knack for observing, analyzing, critiquing and educating about the history, content, and style of film. For me, exploring the subject of cinema is like opening a treasure chest of endless knowledge. From the earliest films of the 1880s, to today’s current releases, cinema raises our consciousness and fills our imagination.
Writing
For many years, I’ve had a love for creating stories. Whether that be simple tales with relatable characters, or journeys into fantastical worlds told from multiple viewpoints. Whenever I discover a subject lacking representation, I feel the urge to fill that void with something never done before. There are many genres I like to explore, from silly comedies and thought provoking dramas, to mystery driven science fiction. The possibilities are endless when it comes to my writing.
Artwork
Ever since I can remember, I’ve had the obsession to express myself through visual art. As I’ve grown, so have my interests towards many artistic styles. They range from still life, to expressionism, to fantasy, to the abstract, to landscape. I’m always open to exploring and experimenting with each art project, wondering what I can come up with next. It’s always a surprise, and you can never fully predict what the end result will be.
